Wow. It’s been a crazy week.
Does anyone else feel like that?
I mean wasn’t I just hanging out in St. Louis with our friends yesterday? Having the best root beer float experience of my life?? That couldn’t have been a week ago… could it?
In terms of day flying by… yesterday was the worst.
I blinked and it was midnight.
You know what made it better??
Garlicy, Crunchy, Salty, Good-for-you, Pita Chips.
You should make these tonight. Or tomorrow. Or make a big batch for the game Sunday.
Serve them with hummus or salsa and you will be everyone’s hero.
You know the perk to these little crunchies?
They only take like 20 minutes TOTAL to make.
Here’s the plan:
Chop up some garlic and let it mull together in some EVOO…
While the garlic is getting to know the EVOO on a personal basis, half your pitas and then cut them into little wedges…
Spread some of the garlicy EVOO on them… don’t use a spoon though.. your pita will be swimming in oil… don’t be like us…
Throw your soon to be chips on a pan… and roast. We did 392 degrees for 12 minutes… why 392 degrees? We’re quirky, that’s why.
After they’re golden brown and looking all crispy-fied… take them out and let them cool… then enjoy.
You will be the king/queen of whatever party you attend if you bring these suckers… especially if you add a little salt to them.
